Dear Member and Friends,
Artificial Intelligence is based on real intelligence and created by real persons.
As such, for better or worse it inherits from human beings their qualities but also their biases.
Considering that today ICT is still a man’s world and that very few girls are studying STEM, we have to ask ourselves how we can avoid to transfer in the AI applications the same biases – and in particular the gender ones - that affects today’s real world.
PWN Rome is happy to partner with Let’s HITalk about… – Lventure Group, on Tuesday March 26th 6.30 p.m. at Venture Group and LUISS EnLabs’ HUB, via Marsala 29h, to discuss – with the support of a panel of experts moderated by Barbara Carfagna, journalist, anchor Tg1 and author of the program "Codice" - the ethical and moral implication of the IA future.
We will discuss these issues together with:
- Nicoletta Boldrini (AI4BUSINESS Director, tech journalist, blogger and author of "AI Artificial Intelligenze: Come è nata, come funziona e come l'Intelligenza Artificiale sta per cambiare il mondo, la vostra vita e il vostro lavoro")
- Andrea Ciucci (Coordinator of the Secretariat of the Pontifical Academy for Life)
- Zhenya Makarowa (La La Sports Co-Founder)
- Marco Menichelli (CTO Xsense Corp and Innovation Scientist in Silicondev S.p.A)
